CSC Professional Enterprises LLC is seeking passionate and energetic interns with a professional interest in publishing. Applicants should possess exceptional writing and editing skills, sharp analytic skills, meticulous attention to detail and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Internet research.

This summer internship will be a 10-week virtual program of hands-on training and practical experience in editing, proofreading, self-publishing, book formatting and book development. Each intern will receive personal interaction and hands-on training with the Chief Editor of CSC Professional Editing & Creative Writing Services.

Interns will also gain insight into the Self-Publishing arena, mastering the process of publishing a book from start to finish.

Interns will also learn to elevate and refine copyediting/proofing skills through various editorial projects.

We are seeking exceptional students who have:

• By the summer of 2021, completed their junior year and be a senior in the fall of 2021 toward a English, Creative Writing or related degree or are college graduates from said program

• Have proficiency with some if not all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), be comfortable learning new systems and software

• Have Journalism coursework and/or edit and proofreading experience

• An appreciation of language

• Strong copyediting/proofing skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in social media management

• Ability to multitask and prioritize

• Ability to work independently and part of a team

• Great time management and virtual communications skills

• Work as part of a team with the Editor in Chief and Associate Editors.

• Provide editorial assistance on special teams and programs.

• Suggesting creative ideas to the Business Development Team for growth

• Website design/creation a plus

After the internship, one to two interns will have the opportunity to become paid part-time Assistant Editors with the company.
